Site
Finca Valdes - Lastenia
Reforestation 27,67 ha

This area has been used for cattle breeding for about 30 years, before that it was forested. It consists of grassland or pasture. The finca is located about 5 km from the Panamericana and is connected to it by a unpaved road. The access is good, but the road needs to be repaired. There are no internal roads. The finca is undulating to hilly and has good vehicle access over large areas. Good working roads can be integrated. The finca has drains and streams that carry water in the rainy season. The soils have a clay texture with medium-high fertility. Soil conservation measures are required.

The finca is not located near protected areas or indigenous territories. There are no villages nearby, so there are also no conflict situations with neighbors. None are expected in the future either, as the boundaries and rights of way are clearly defined. The land is technically suitable and shows good characteristics of relief, soil and climate. The finca is located within 35 km from other cooperative properties. There is a possibility to acquire other neighboring properties. Nearby there are teak plantations, which indicates a good quality of location.
