Cooperation with Pathein University

The project provides higher-skilled jobs for forestry graduates from the nearby Pathein University, a higher education institution located in Pathein, the largest city and the capital of the Ayeyarwady Region, Myanmar. Further WIF provided scholarships to 10 young women from the village to study at Pathein University.
The cooperation already dates back a couple of years, when in 2014, a Mangrove Gene-Bank by Pathein University and Worldview was established. In the past, students and teachers from Pathein University, Worldview's leaders and guests have been planting mangroves together on the Pathein University Compound.
