The picture shows Tanzania Forest Service (TFS) Butiama Manager Mr Hafidhu Ally in front of the degraded forest at Kyanyari, which the project aims to restore and manage with a buffer zone as a community forest in collaboration with TFS. Project staff visited the 2752 ha area forest reserve in 2021 and observed that 826 hectares are highly degraded and need to be replenished. GRA and TFS are looking forward to working together to restore the forest here for the benefit of present and future generations.
