The GRA staff at Kinesi and Butiama worked hard through April to distribute as many trees as possible as they implemented best practices in response to the coronavirus. Obadia, the Tree Program Coordinator, instructed staff on ways to protect themselves at work and at home. In the nursery staff wore masks, and beneficiaries came into the nursery one by one, washing their hands immediately upon entering. Each person was registered on a form and then selected the species and number they wanted. The nurseries were able to distribute over 150,000 seedlings to individual and institutional beneficiaries throughout the month.
