Summary
THE ARAVALI BIODIVERSITY PARK (Park) is a 380 acre of wilderness carved out of a 40-year old mining site in the millennium city of Gurugram. Made in partnership with local administration, corporates and residents of Gurugram, the Park is a perfect example of the citizens’ initiative to make a difference to their city. The Park has become a small sanctuary harbouring endangered and rare plants, birds and animals, making it an internationally significant ecological conversation zone.
