The month of January was filled with activities, and one of them was planting on a site/plot within the Reunidas Settlement in Promissão/SP. This is one of the pioneering areas in the Ana Primavesi carbon program.

We conducted the restoration of 1 hectare through the implementation of an Agroforestry System (AFS), which was designed after discussing with the owning family and understanding their interests and available labor. Thus, we defined a model capable of meeting both the carbon project criteria and their needs and desires.

This way, the family will not only have a productive piece of land throughout the year, which can be diversified with other crops over time if desired but will also enjoy the benefits brought by the introduction of trees and biodiversity into the system - directly impacting soil quality, microclimate (especially as the area is close to the house), and water quality, as the area is adjacent to the site's Permanent Preservation Area (APP).
