North of Chile: Forests in Tarapacá and Arica

This project is facilitating forest recovery across 16 ha of landscape through enrichment planting in the Chachacomane region (Isluga Volcano National Park, Colchane commune, Tarapacá region) with tree species such as Polylepis tarapacana and Azorella compacta, at 4,500 meters above sea level. CONAF are working with local communes in the area by offering employment for their active participation.
