The Second Stage

On 7 December 2023, the teams from FOF Chile, Oceana, and the GEF/FAO Coastal Marine Governance Project presented the results of the project thus far. The mayor of the commune of Cisnes, the regional directors of SERNAPESCA and SUBPESCA, and the regional advisors of GORE were among the attendees.

The project was very well received, due to the innovation, pragmatism and tangible results, in addition to the excellent prospects for the immediate future if all parties remain committed to the project.

The immediate objective is to have more sustained local production of these value-added, legally sourced and fully traceable products with a mark of origin, fully involving local fishermen in the design of the project.
