Effective restoration responds to landscape mosaics

In Chimanimani, the full landscape mosaic can often be seen from a single vantage point. Mt. Binga and the national park in the distance, with healthier portions of the buffer zone on the higher slopes, and more agriculture and evidence of degradation in lower, more accessible areas.

Landscapes are rarely homogenous. By observing differences in the landscape, Eden uncovers the information needed to restore them.

At Eden, restoration plans are a response to the complex mosaic of each landscape, allowing Eden teams around the globe to adapt restoration strategies to the local context.
