Update on our Nepal Improved Cookstoves Project

In partnership with the ClimatePartner Foundation and Die Ofenmacher e.V., our recent local stakeholder consultation had an impressive attendance of 96 participants! 🙌 The enthusiasm and support for the project were evident, with some attendees starting their journey as early as 3 a.m. to join us.

It was inspiring to see such dedication and positivity towards the project's expansion. We had a robust discussion, and it was clear that everyone sees the immense value and benefits the improved cookstoves bring, especially in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this meaningful dialogue!

Our project developers Shamil Sameer and Dincer Huseyin co-hosted the event and held interactive sessions. Here’s what Shamil had to say:

"Participating in the local stakeholder consultation has given us a deeper understanding of the community's hardships. This experience motivates us to continue to contribute effectively to solving their problems.
A significant portion of Nepal's population still relies on three-stone or traditional stoves as their primary cooking devices. These households typically have very small kitchens, where people suffer from smoke-filled rooms due to the traditional methods. We are truly happy to be part of a project that, with your support, will make a real difference in their lives.”
