Research and Innovation

Mexico is a Megadiverse country, ranked #4 in the world, characterized by unparalleled natural beauty and biodiversity. As a result, Mexico has many rare and threatened species that need our attention and help. It is essential in this region to manage biodiversity in the remaining habitats and restore degraded lands to enhance biodiversity.

Our field station scientists collaborate with faculty and graduate students from local and international universities to conduct research related to rare species ecology and recovery, ecosystem integrity, conservation planning, and ecological restoration. Regenerative agriculture, tissue culture, and plant propagation are also researched with the aim of creating regenerative agricultural systems. The workshop and innovation laboratory focus on creating unique solutions to local and global challenges.

Eco-education
We offer a multifaceted approach to eco-education where students of all ages and backgrounds learn about local ecology and environmental issues and are challenged to find unique ways to restore balance and health to their local area. All students are empowered to share the skills they learn at the center with their communities to create benefits for all. Our latest project is the Planet Healers YouTube Channel, where we offer our wisdom to the world and inspire more people to make this world a paradise.

We have also partnered with the Ecosystem Restoration Camp (ERC) movement as Camp Earth Connection.

We have partnered with ERC and the Soil Food Web School to create the "Introduction to Ecosystem Restoration" online course.
