SNV contributed on the trainings which focused on revenue collection and management, group dynamics skills to foster effective teamwork and collaboration within the committee, conflict management skills to address and resolve conflicts within the project, record keeping, and stakeholder engagement to support the sustainability of the water project.
SNV trained 14 members of the Sere Olipi Water Committee in Samburu County on governance, financial management and record keeping. As a combined result of the training and the installation of the water ATM supported by ACTED, the water committee have streamlined revenue collection and banking, with surplus revenues of KES. 160,000 within 3 months of operation (between July – September 2023). SNV continues supporting the water system to continue improving their operation for enhanced sustainability.
