Between 21-25 August 2019, FLOURISH project in collaboration with Duc Phong Company organized a training "Sustainable Lung Bamboo Management" for five Lung bamboo groups who signed PAPs with Duc Phong company from five villages-- Xet 1, Xet 2, Chieng Ban, Ban, Bai in Chau Thang Commune, Quy Chau district. One day training was conducted as per selected villages.
The training aimed to:

• raise awareness of local communities on forestry regulations under the new forestry law
• improve Lung bamboo harvesting and processing practice for local communities.
  The training was as an result of capacity development needs assessment and from business partnership agreement between Duc Phong company and the target local communities.
  The training adopted participatory coaching and learning method allowing the local trainees to improve their practical skills through field work.Under instruction of Lung bamboo harvesting specialist of Duc Phong company, the groups learnt techniques of sustainable Lung harvesting and preliminary processing.
