The helicopter was ready to take off the morning of 10.04.2024. But we had consecutive moments of drama that stopped us from meeting him at this time. We received a message that he would have violated some regulations if he leaves. We waited the whole morning for the director of Barneo to make the necessary arrangements with Moscow.

During that time, we slowly began to prepare the ground for the helicopter to land. Things weren't that easy as the issue with Moscow couldn't be resolved quickly. It's only at 19:50 (Magadan time) that the helicopter got the go-ahead to fly.

We contacted the pilot and made sure to give him the exact coordinates. The meeting was scheduled for the next day, at 14.10 (Moscow time).

As promised, the next day, we could hear from afar the sound of the helicopter getting louder as he advanced towards us. Due to natural factors, he landed at 18.10. We did it ! We successfully retrieved 5 barrels, each with 50 liters of gas, and food. The pilots really liked the idea of having Star Link at the North Pole, they were able to contact their families through video call. They even took pictures with us.
