The second wave of plantings of Jussara's Programme have begun in 2023, and April has been a busy month since it is when starts the rainy season in the region.
The Programme encompasses three planting models, and all of them include wide diversity of native trees, fruits, as well as cocoa and Juçara palm tree.
The 5th planting site already planted pioneer species to create conditions to plant cocoa seedlings. The farmers are helped by a group of organic farmers who periodically gather to work on the land together - in Brazil, that system of mutual help, in which a group is constituted to work in the properties of all members, is called "mutirão".
