attempting not to burn fossil fuel in the process of removing invasive trees (which are effective carbon sink, bringing an irony to the process).. I tried out a battery driven Stihl chainsaw. While it could easily handle 20 year old pines up to 30cm in diameter, and harder hakea of around 15cm, I could only fell about 60 with 2 batteries, making it impractical for multi-day outings away from a charging station.
On the other hand, maintaining the Peace of the Mountains was wonderful!
