The field inventory work was completed by six-man team with support from Koundi villagers backstopping in the first week of data collection.
An estimate of tree density and total tree stock was computed from the inventory data. Estimates of tree (or stem) density in per hectare units based on number of trees by subplot and mean density values for blocks that contained more than one set of plot clusters were calculated.
