The inauguration of the Cabeço Santo Biodiversity Station (EBIO) could not have gone better! There were more than 40 participants who followed the 1.3km of the EBIO route, paying attention to the information boards about the species of amphibians, fish, butterflies, and other insects, as well as the diverse vegetation that we can find in this place.
Plus, ecologist Mariana Rossa shared with us how photo-trapping cameras work and her knowledge of the various strategies that increase the probability of capturing the presence of an animal in a given location.
EBIO is open to the public and anyone can independently use the space at any time of the year. Happy hiking and learning!
