One specific economic development initiative in the Southwest Region, Ndian Division could be the establishment of a biogas and fertilizer generator at a large scale, utilizing Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME). POME is a waste product of the palm oil industry and is often discarded, leading to both environmental and economic challenges. However, POME can be effectively used as a renewable energy source and fertilizer.
By setting up a large-scale biogas and fertilizer generator, the region can benefit in several ways.
