Philibert RANDRIANARIMANANA is a native of Andramasina. Now in his sixties, he is working with Bôndy as a farmer partner. We provide him with young plants, assistance and training to reforest on his plot. He kindly accepted to give us his testimony, for him this site is home.

"I remember when I was around 10 years old, the water level of this lake was higher. Nowadays, with the changes in climate and well as human activities, it is getting drier. This is a historical site of our area, the royalty used to live here around the lake back in the days.
With our collaboration with Bôndy, we will be able to give back its beauty to this place. When I was young, the forest was everywhere, and the lake was full. Trees are essential to bring rain here, and fill our beautiful lake. Nature has a cycle, nature is life. Trees are life."

Lea RASOANOROMANANA, a lady in her fifties, is concerned about her environment. As a woman, she is looking out for her children and future generations. With Bôndy, she is planting various species of trees to gain additional revenues, as well as helping the nature surrounding her village.

"Bôndy came here and truly helped us to reforest. They provided us with fruit and forest trees, according to our needs and the area. We need to change things, it is important to help our environment today, and especially attract more water naturally. To date, we have planted more than 6,000 trees around my village. Bôndy's team help us to prepare the plots and the planting holes, and follows up with us until trees are well grown."
