Planting actions

We organized multiple planting events where people that visit the Ecocamp but also people from the bigger community can participate to help out, and learn about regeneration.
Mattie facilitated the events and explained with passion about the regenerative processes that we work with; the ways we observe nature developing and how we can empower these processes and mimmick them in our designs, implementations and maintenance.

The main objectives that we keep in mind while designing are:

  • Leaving the area in better ecological state then it was before: improving the biodiversity, water catchment situation and the soil.
  • Creating spaces where visitors of the ecocamp can feel immersed in the local nature
  • Creating bridges to connect people to the natural world. We plant the local biodiversity from which people can harvest and learn about the local species. We aim to inspire people by telling nature's story through informative plates, workshops, events, social media and

In our designs we follow the core principles of successional agroforestry through which we mimmick the natural processes of the forest ecosystem that nature is trying to reestablish.
