The adjacent piece of land purchased in 2023 is an elongated strip from the crest of the hill down to a larger creek. Since the land was partly covered with young secondary forest and partly already becoming overgrown with bushes, the natural reforestation was distributed over various “planting islands” in areas where the aggressive invasive african gras Saboya (panicum maximum) was still dominating. The overall goal is to increase plant diversity and accelerate the regeneration of the tropical moist forest of the region.
