In 2022, simultaneously with the scientific plots from the collaboration with the Crowther Lab of ETH Zurich, the second side of the small valley was completely reforested (8 hectares). The reforestation was adapted to the local conditions. Where the land started to be naturally overgrown with trees and shrubs, the natural regeneration was supported by maintenance measures and supplementary plantings. In addition, experiments were carried out with different compositions of tree species.
