In this area we have more land belonging to us. Some 115 trees in total. We meassure these trees by circumference. Starting with trees 30 cm plus. In that area are growing the following trees: Oak, beech, elder, hawthorn, cherry plum, weeping cherry Fool's bag (Not sure if this is the right translation in German it is called Traubenkirsche Narrentasche).
There are only 10 really flowering trees and bushes among those 115 trees. To increase biodiversity, more plants that attract bees need to be planted. Hence pears and apple trees. The latter are planted in the middle of the plot. They should then also provide food for other wild animals. Why in the middle? The biggest predator in the area is man. There are a lot of hunters in the area. By planting these trees in the middle, the hunters will not be able to see them.
On the outside areas we will plant forest Hazel, Wild cherry, Medlar, Sorbus domestica and black cherry. This will also attract birds which can act as a prewarning system for the animals in that area.
The rest is just a fill up, with climate resistant trees. Shadow givers.
Something special is the Sorbus domestica (Speierling) . The population of this tree is decreasing in Germany.
THe poplar, which we will plant in March 2025 are a test to see if they really can cope with dry weather.
