194th bird Species on site!

The Rwenzori Founders are grateful recipients of camera traps donated by Films for Change in advance of their forthcoming film production. These have been put to good use monitoring what creatures can be captured day and night. It has proved to be a wonderful way to record bird species that visit the water bath.
So we are delighted to announce, not only have Shikra and Ross's Turaco come down to drink, but a stunning seed-eating passerine; the red headed blue bill have been filmed feeding among franklins, weavers and doves.
When the project began 12 years ago only 26 birds were documented, so to reach the 194 birds this month represents a very positive increase in biodiversity.
