Rwenzori Founders main site
Rain Water Gravity System

Gravity water systems generally use gravity to transport water from the source, to the user through a pipe network.
At the Rwenzori Founders the site is well designed to capture rain water from the hill which runs down various stone and concrete ditches, to feed the forested areas and the wildlife pond with rain water.
Overflow from the wildlife pond below keeps the plantation area moist. Having the pond has led to the return of numerous amphibians and thanks to the UWA in March a second rescued Hinged William's turtles now inhabits the pond among other amphibians (see gallery).
