On December 3rd 2021 water barrels have been placed at the Ruivenstraat. Each barrel can catch 650 L of water. 22 barrels are placed around the building and connected to it's downspouts.
A major benefit is that these barrels can store water during peak moments of rainfall. Hereby the sewer system is spared by not having to drain all the water at one time.
Besides, new planted plants can be watered during hot days.
