After a two-month period of data collection, the findings were presented to the fishers at a community meeting. The meeting was attended by 15 fishers and facilitated by the Data Collection Assistants.
The fishers suggested that future monitoring activities should be conducted during the summer, when fish are more abundant and fishing activities are more regular. The fishers also expressed a desire for monitoring to occur over longer periods to collect sufficient data to understand the seasonal patterns of various target species.
The fishers expressed gratitude to the Data Collection Assistants for their efforts and were eager to continue collaborations with ABALOBI in the future.
