Star Seed relies on healthy oceans for its wild seaweed & algae ingredients, sea moss, spirulina, and axstanthin.
On Saturday, March 4th, and Wednesday, March 8th, over 20 community members and local partners, including The LEAF and Kivukoni School, came together to plant indigenous mangroves back into the wild as part of Star Seed's 3rd regeneration project in Kilifi.
Over the 2 days, they successfully grew 1,279 native mangrove trees, including Ceriops tagal, Avicennia marina and Rhizophora mucronata. This regeneration project that directly impacts where marine life is spawned (mangroves) and where coastal land gets its protection (natural reefs/sea barriers).
The project aims to bring back the thriving ecosystem that once existed in Kilifi Creek, with its lush mangrove forests and diverse wildlife.
The community's efforts to restore Kilifi Creek are a testament to what can be achieved when people come together for a common cause.
Join Star Seed and the Kilifi Creek community on their journey towards a more regenerative future, one mangrove at a time. Together, we can create a world where nature and humans thrive in harmony.
