We are delighted to update you with the news that all of the 485 seedlings growing at Pwani University were successfully planted into the University campus. The addition of these tree seedlings will have a great impact on the current Pwani University student-body, as well as its future community for many years to come.
By encouraging indigenous plant species to thrive, we are supporting the regeneration of biodiversity and of indigenous knowledge. Star Seed fundamentally relies upon the preservation and regeneration of such knowledge and plants, helping to create a better world for individuals and for communities such as that at Pwani University.
By helping the world around us to thrive, we allow ourselves to thrive. The indigenous plant species offer medicinal benefits, a food supply, timber for building, and also sites for native fauna to flourish.
Our relationship with the earth is reciprocal and symbiotic. By promoting and strengthening these bonds we move towards a harmonious and promising future.
