Caught on Camera: the mini tree tiger strikes again! 🌳 🐅

Have you heard of the marbled cat, Sumatra’s very own "mini tree tiger"? This agile feline, scientifically known as Pardofelis marmorata, was recently filmed by our camera traps, highlighting the rich biodiversity of our restoration sites.

A True Canopy Acrobat
Named for its beautifully patterned coat, the marbled cat is a master of climbing and spends most of its life in the treetops. Like its larger relative, the clouded leopard, it’s rarely seen on the ground—making this sighting even more special!

Not Just Cats… Tapirs Too!
Our cameras also captured a curious tapir wandering through. These amazing encounters encourage us to continue preserving and creating thriving food forest habitats for diverse wildlife and the local community.

Monitoring above-ground biodiversity and below-ground agrobiodiversity
From degraded lands to regenerated agroforests, we monitor biodiversity with tools like soil sampling, bioacoustic equipment, and wildlife cameras. Each sighting tells a story of progress and coexistence.

Stay tuned for more updates from the field—who knows what our cameras will capture next?
