This assembly meeting in Mwikoro village in May presented the restoration project to community members, introducing the livelihoods packages that it will offer. It gave the community a chance to ask questions and clear up any doubts. Project manager Specioza Kifutu (standing) invited farmers to register with their hamlet leaders if they wished to be part of the project activities. So far, 214 farmers in four villages have registered – a healthy start to the 1600 households that the project ultimately aims to engage.
