The village of Kdohhati in the project's new area (Ri-Bhoi) in the north Khasi Hills is one of the most interesting places that the team has come across. The village is mostly covered by dense forest and has a few patches of harvested forest land, and has strict rules about timber collection and poaching. It has become a feeding ground for various animals, including Hoolock gibbons and Amur falcons. The village aims to continue the conservation efforts it has had in place since 2015.
