DeLaSelva is a registered cooperative company based in Freiburg, GERMANY. It was founded to contribute to a transparent, fair and direct trade of products from smallholder farmers located in tropical forest communities.

DeLaSelva buys these products directly from the farmers organisations and imports them for their members and customers in Germany and the EU. The purpose is to achieve higher prices and incomes for these smallholder farmers – usually indigenous communities - by emphasising their special quality and the socio-ecological added value for tropical forest restoration and conservation.

DeLaSelva's corporate philosophy is based on the approach of a community-based agriculture, which promotes the connection between producers and consumers and the equal sharing of opportunities and risks.
