About

Who we are

Felinos do Aguaí is a civil, private, non-governmental and non-profit association. It was founded in 2005 and is based in Siderópolis - SC. The Institute is dedicated to the conservation of wild felines that are among the most endangered species in the world, mainly affected by the loss of their habitat. The project is carried out in the Aguaí State Biological Reserve, one of the ten State Conservation Units in the State of Santa Catarina.

Activities include scientific research, environmental education and involvement with local communities to promote the conservation of species. With activities in the municipalities of Treviso, Siderópolis, Nova Veneza, Morro Grande, Bom Jardim da Serra and Criciúma, the project is part of the Conservation Unit's research and environmental education program, which has generated important results in the management and preservation of this protected area.
