Forest Landscape Restoration in Mexico’s Central Pacific Jaguar Landscape
Forest Landscape Restoration in Mexico’s Central Pacific Jaguar Landscape
Central Pacific Corridor • Mexico Started in October 2022 Active Conservation, Restoration, Silvopasture, Natural Forest Management
Summary
With the support of SIG, WWF will work with local partners, communities, and government to address two major threats in the Central Pacific Landscape: forest degradation and biodiversity loss. Our goal is to improve the forest’s health and integrity by protecting and restoring key sites for jaguar connectivity between high quality habitat areas. Achieving this will safeguard the vital habitats of keystone species, including the jaguar, while securing invaluable benefits for local communities.
