Ngombé forestry concession

The Ngombé concession, managed by Interholco, is located in the Northern region of the Republic of Congo, bordering the Odzala national park. Within it can be found large, medium and small mammals moving regularly through the landscape, from the concession to the protected areas in the national park. It is also home for indigenous people and local communities, which go there to collect medicinal plants and other non-timber forest products for subsistence use.

The Ngombé concession is FSC certified and managed by the highest standards. However, these forests are subject to emerging threats, such as artisanal mining, agricultural encroachment, and poaching.
