First in Myanmar with Mangrove Blue Carbon credit issuance
Verra (previously known as VCS) issued 31,744 blue carbon credits (VCUs) in November 2018 after a successful verification process. Third party independent verifier, RINA conducted the verification. Next next issuance will occur in June 2019. Contact us for blue carbon credits.

In February, Thor Heyerdahl Climate Park was registered as a carbon project under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) also known as Verra.

Clam aquaculture that benefits communities and mangroves
In February 2018, 41 women received aquaculture plots to start growing their own clams. The clams have a high economic value and are widely accepted locally and on the international markets. The flesh can be eaten raw, boiled or smoked. © Wai Thazin Aung, WIF Media Assistant
