Of the 14 farmers involved in our Pilot Gardening project, Mrs Tembo is the farmer who performed the best! With the 850 cabbage seedlings she received, she has gained the equivalent of a month of salary. As a single mum, this sum is invaluable, and she has already used it to purchase more vegetable seedlings to plant. As we assessed this pilot project, Mrs Tembo asked WeForest to continue supporting her so she can eventually purchase the water pump that has helped her to get such an essential income.
