Today is Global Birding Day, and WeForest Zambia is being represented by the Copperbelt project as ‘Team Imanda’ in collecting data. The first bird spotted is the Crowned Hornbill (Lophoceros alboterminatus). These birds contribute to the forest regeneration process by dispersing fruit seeds of more than 2cm in diameter. Their numbers are decreasing, according to the IUCN Red List.
