Here's Paul M., owner of WeForest farm number 1094 in Roan block, Luanshya, with one of the three beehives he made out of wood leftovers. He received five more beehives from the LFCA beekeeping scheme, which he joined in 2020. All eight hives are occupied, and produced 172.5kg of honey (21.56kg per hive) during the June/July honey harvest. Impressed, Paul has decided to continue making hives and reinvesting part of his beekeeping revenue into the business. He's also one of the participants in the project's treadle pump programme, which has helped him revamp his vegetable gardening.
