Ricky M.’s journey began with a beehive. Through the training and support provided by WeForest, he mastered the art of beekeeping, transforming it into a viable source of income. Now he's a bee mentor, providing services to a community of 150 beekeepers who contribute to forest and landscape restoration by carrying out sustainable forest management practices.

But he didn't stop there! Using some of his earnings, which have amounted to more than 10,000 ZMW (US $400) since 2023, Ricky M. has also ventured into sustainable maize production, cultivating a bountiful harvest that not only secured his family's food needs but also created a surplus that could be sold, further boosting his income. His success is inspiring others in the community to embrace beekeeping and sustainable farming, paving the way for a brighter, more resilient future.
