Founded in 2007 and registered in 2021, the Drylands Initiative for Ecosystem Restoration and Capacity Building (DINERCAB) is a leading non-profit organization addressing the critical environmental challenges facing the drylands of Sub-Saharan Africa. These include desertification, drought, climate change, and biodiversity loss.
DINERCAB integrates Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) strategies to restore degraded ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, and empower communities to build climate resilience. Through cutting-edge innovation and strategic capacity building, DINERCAB works to secure sustainable drylands that thrive as part of the dynamic global ecosystem.
Our work has positively impacted dryland ecosystems and communities by restoring biodiversity, improving ecosystem functionality, and increasing access to essential ecosystem services.
