About

Founded in 1973, the Endangered Wildlife Trust is driven by a team of passionate and dedicated conservationists working through 13 specialised programmes across southern and East Africa, each falling under one of our three key strategic pillars: Saving species, conserving habitats, and benefitting people.

Our vision for the future
A healthy planet and an equitable world that values and sustains the diversity of all life.

Our mission
The EWT is dedicated to conserving threatened species and ecosystems in east and southern Africa to the benefit of all people.

The purpose for all we do
Protecting forever, together.

The strategy that guides us
