About

INHABIT is a company and a foundation working to create a global corridor of biocultural hubs where traditional knowledge meets modern restoration to heal ecosystems and support local communities. Biocultural hubs are living laboratories combining ecological restoration, cultural preservation, and sustainable economics—each hub funds local guardians while removing land from speculation.

INHABIT brings together local communities, global citizens, and multidisciplinary experts to co-create solutions for ecological and social regeneration. Our idea is to establish a global human and biological corridor that strengthens knowledge exchange and long-term land stewardship. The project responds to the urgent need to restore ecosystems and to rebuild our relationship with nature through social, cultural, technological, and ecological innovation.
The first three Biocultural Hubs are now being established in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, one of the world’s most biodiverse and culturally significant regions. These hubs act as living laboratories and territorial anchors that connect local land guardians with global supporters. They serve as centers of collaboration, education, and innovation, ensuring that restoration efforts are rooted in community priorities and sustained over time.
A key tool is the Stewardship NFT, an innovative digital membership that enables individuals worldwide to directly contribute to land conservation. Each token is linked to a specific Biocultural Hub, providing legal documentation of rights and responsibilities, as well as access to community benefits, transparent impact data, and opportunities to participate in restoration activities.
By combining traditional knowledge, community engagement, and emerging technologies, INHABIT promotes shared governance and long-term sustainability, ensuring that vulnerable ecosystems are protected while fostering global collaboration for future generations.
