"My Forest Armenia" environmental non-governmental organization, which was founded in 2019 by the initiative of Belgian-Armenian businessman Andre Gumuchdjian. The mission of the organization is to restore the forest coverage of Armenia by planting a large number of endemic local tree species annually. Being a relatively young organization, "My Forest Armenia" has already managed to do significant work in the field of reforestation and afforestation in Armenia. During the 2.5 years of its activity, the Organization has planted more than 385,000 trees in Lori region, thanks to the support of donors, corporate partners and individuals. The organization also recruits among the local population for its planting activities, thus contributing to the improvement of the socio-economic situation of the region. The creation of new forest coverage will not only support the creation of a cleaner ecology in Armenia, but will also contribute to the increase of natural resources of clean water, will preserve the biodiversity of our country, will prevent the desertification of Armenia, soil erosion and more.
