Manaaki Kaimai Mamaku Trust is a co-governed charitable trust leading the restoration of the 260,000ha Kaimai Mamaku forests and waterways, from mountains to sea, located in the North Island of New Zealand. Through the Kaimai Mamaku Restoration Project we bring together agencies, stakeholders and communities to collaborate on a landscape-scale, intergenerational restoration effort. Manaaki Kaimai Mamaku Trust leads the project, administers funding, undertakes project assurance, and provides technical support to eight indigenous-led conservation projects. We are also lead participants in national programmes to develop nature finance markets and instruments.
