SAFET’s Biennial Conference has become a hallmark event in the seafood and fisheries technology space.

Hosted in cities such as Honiara (2014), Auckland (2016), and Bangkok (2019), and virtually in 2020 and 2021, the conference has grown steadily in attendance and influence.

Growth and Engagement

The 2020/21 virtual conference expanded SAFET’s reach, growing its community from 1,200 to over 2,000 global stakeholders. The most recent in-person event brought together over 260 participants and 20 exhibitors, showcasing the growing momentum of the SAFET movement.

As SAFET prepares for its next conference, the goal is to further expand participation—both in-person and online—while continuing to foster meaningful collaboration across the industry.
