Save the Sand
About

A groundbreaking movement for revitalising natures’ biodiversity and uplifting rural communities.
The restoration of the Sand River catchment will revitalise nature’s biodiversity, create clean drinking water, enable meaningful job creation and establish equitable participation and tens of thousands of indigenous people through a transparent and decentralised carbon value chain.

The Save the Sand project provides a scalable model for nature based solutions across Africa to benefit from the growing voluntary carbon and biodiversity markets whilst ensuring the integrity and provenance of each credit is maintained from creation to retirement.
