Timber is rapidly gaining importance as a Carbon Dioxide Removal Technology (CDR). Sustainably managed forests and timber construction are the most efficient way to extract CO2 from the atmosphere and store it long-term. Mass Timber has the potential to make a significant contribution to combating climate change.

The Timber Finance Initiative, founded in 2021, is the Swiss competence center for timber investments.
